Internal resource disclosure via unvalidated upgrade URI
Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026
SSRF in Halo 2.22.14 allows remote authenticated users to read internal HTTP resources through a crafted theme-upgrade request. The UpgradeFromUri handler passes an unvalidated URI to DefaultReactiveUrlDataBufferFetcher.fetch(), which follows redirects and issues WebClient GET requests without blocking internal hosts. Ordinary user privileges suffice; requests are limited to HTTP GET, but internal service responses are returned directly.
