Stored XSS via unescaped tag pill rendering
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Frappe Framework 16.10.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The ListView.get_tags_html renderer inserts attacker-controlled _user_tags values into title attributes and element content without escaping. Exploitation requires authenticated tag creation and a victim to open a list or report view with tags shown, allowing code to run in that victim's Frappe origin.
