Authenticated startup denial via malformed task function
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Denial of service in FastapiAdmin 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to block server startup through a crafted task update. The job update path persists the unvalidated func value, and startup later unpacks the result of rsplit(".", 1) before the existing exception handlers run. The module_task:job:update permission is required; a value without a period prevents the web server from starting after restart.
