Authenticated code execution via unrestricted car-image upload
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in BookCars 8.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through /api/create-car-image. The endpoint accepts a crafted file as a car image without restricting dangerous file types, allowing uploaded content to execute in the application environment. A valid BookCars session and network access to the upload route are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code in the server context.
