Arbitrary file write via traversable backup path
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Path traversal in OpenDaylight Controller 12.0.5 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files through RESTCONF. The backup-datastore operation accepts a supplied file-path without verifying that its resolved location remains within a permitted base directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; writes are limited to filesystem locations accessible to the OpenDaylight process.
