Subscriber-level PDF metadata disclosure via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Missing authorization in Katalogportal PDF Sync 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private PDF metadata. The katalogportal_popup_shortcode() AJAX handler performs no capability or nonce check, then queries attachments with post_status set to any. Subscriber-level access therefore exposes synchronized attachment titles, actual filenames, and the katalogportal_userid value, including records linked to private or draft posts.
