Subscriber-level content manipulation via unchecked configuration overwrite
Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
Missing authorization in Punnel – Landing Page Builder 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify site content via AJAX. The save_config() AJAX handler writes the entire plugin configuration, including its API key, without a capability check or nonce verification. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to replace the key, then invoke sniff_requests() to create, update, or delete arbitrary posts, pages, and products.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
