Doctor session hijacking via stored profile script
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Hospital Management System 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a doctor's browser. The /hospital/hms/edit-profile.php page stores a patient-controlled User Name without safe output encoding, and appointment history later renders it in the doctor's interface. A patient account and a doctor viewing appointment history are required; execution can disclose the doctor's session cookie and enable account takeover.
