CVE-2026-36356Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via password interpolation

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

OS command injection in MeiG Smart FORGE_SLT711 firmware MDM9607.LE.1.0-00110-STD.PROD-1 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The unauthenticated /action/SetRemoteAccessCfg handler inserts the JSON password field into an sprintf-built chpasswd shell command and passes it to system() without validation or escaping. Network access to the device web server is sufficient; shell substitution runs blindly with the GoAhead process's root privileges, enabling arbitrary operating-system command execution without returning output.
