CVE-2026-36162Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unencoded activity-log filenames

Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026

Stored XSS in LiquidFiles 4.2.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a Share API filename. The JSON Share API accepts HTML in a file name, and renaming that file stores the original name in an activity log that renders it without HTML encoding. Low-privileged access and a victim viewing that log are required; a CSP-bypass chain can redirect the victim to attacker-controlled HTML and expose an administrator API key.
