CVE-2026-3609Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via kernel-minted process handles

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Improper access control in Wellbia XIGNCODE3 10.0.10011.16384 through 2023.12.7.78 allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges. The xhunter1.sys command dispatcher passes a caller-selected process and access mask to ObOpenObjectByPointer in KernelMode, then returns the unrestricted handle to user mode. A standard Windows account can reach the driver while it is loaded, enabling protected-process memory access and SYSTEM-level code execution.
