Command execution via unsanitized smart_enumerate arguments
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
OS command injection in Pensar Apex 0.0.58 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through malicious tool arguments. createSmartEnumerateTool() concatenates the url and extensions values into a string passed to child_process.exec(), allowing shell metacharacters to become commands. Exploitation requires malicious arguments to reach the agent through tool invocation or prompt injection; Pensar disputes the issue as intended behavior.
