CVE-2026-36027Public exploit

Physical code execution via recovery ADB root

Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026

Arbitrary code execution in Code27 Companion Hub SQ3A.220705.003.A1 allows physically proximate attackers to gain a root ADB shell via USB. The recovery image runs adbd from a shipping userdebug build and accepts adb root without authorization, exposing a uid-0 shell in the recovery ramdisk. Physical access and a recovery-mode boot are required; the shell does not directly expose the live Android runtime or decrypted user data.
