Session interruption via repeated RTSP SETUP requests
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Denial of service in the Mercury MIPC252W RTSP service 1.0.5 Build 230306 Rel.79931n allows attackers to terminate RTSP sessions. The service accepts repeated SETUP requests for the same media track within one session and resets the RTSP connection instead of rejecting the duplicate request. An authenticated session and high privileges are required; the documented consequence is loss of that connection, not a device crash or reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
