Unauthorized actions via premature callback dispatch
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.22 allows remote attackers to invoke Mattermost action handlers through callbacks. The Mattermost interaction dispatcher ran callback action handlers before monitor.ts applied the normal sender and allowlist authorization policy. A configured Mattermost channel and a non-allowlisted sender are required; exploitation runs actions that the sender policy was meant to block.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
