Authorization bypass via empty allowlist reconciliation
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.22 allows remote attackers to restore revoked Tlon messaging permissions. In extensions/tlon/src/monitor/index.ts, truthiness and length checks treat empty dmAllowlist and groupInviteAllowlist arrays as absent and retain account defaults. An explicit empty allowlist and subsequent settings reconciliation are required; previously allowed direct messages or group invitations then remain permitted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
