CVE-2026-35623Network attack vector

Unauthorized webhook access via unthrottled password guessing

Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026

Missing rate limiting in OpenClaw before 2026.3.25 allows remote attackers to brute-force BlueBubbles webhook passwords. The BlueBubbles webhook authentication path returned 401 responses for repeated wrong password guesses without tracking request rate; the patch adds a fixed-window limiter keyed by normalized webhook path and client IP. Exposure requires an enabled, network-reachable BlueBubbles webhook and a guessable password; successful guessing grants unauthorized webhook access.
