Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG previews
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in the file preview endpoint in QuickDrop before 1.5.3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via uploaded SVG files. The upload flow validates the SVG file type but does not sanitize embedded script content, and the preview serves the file with a browser-renderable content type. Exploitation requires a user to preview the uploaded file, where the script runs in the application's origin and can read or alter data accessible to that user's browser session.
