Revoked project access via unvalidated link-share JWTs
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in Vikunja before 2.3.0 allows remote attackers to retain revoked link-share access to project data. GetLinkShareFromClaims builds authorization objects solely from JWT claims without querying the database for deletion or reduced permissions. Exploitation requires a previously issued link-share JWT, which retains its original project permissions for up to the configured 72-hour default lifetime.
