Internal access and credential disclosure via unvalidated public_api
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
SSRF in the Glances IP plugin before 4.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to access internal endpoints through public_api. The plugin passes the configured URL directly to its request code without scheme, hostname, or IP-range validation and forwards configured Basic credentials. Exploitation requires control of the Glances configuration; the resulting requests can reach internal or metadata services and disclose configured credentials.
