Remote code execution via Pair-Setup heap overflow
Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Philips Hue Bridge 1.73.1973146020 allows remote attackers to execute code through HomeKit Pair-Setup. The hk_hap_pair_storage_put function copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating its length. An unauthenticated attacker on the same local network can run code in the HomeKit service context, gaining the service's access to the Bridge.
