Authenticated server crash via oversized SHA-2 packet

Denial of service in MariaDB Server before 11.4.10, 11.5.0 through 11.8.5, and 12.0.0 through 12.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash it. The plugin's auth() function passes the attacker-controlled packet length to sha256_crypt_r(), whose alloca() call reserves that amount on the stack. The plugin is not installed by default, and exploitation requires an account configured to use it; stack exhaustion terminates the database server.
