Information disclosure via SVG animation sanitization bypass
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
Remote image blocking bypass in Roundcube Webmail before 1.5.14 and 1.6.0 through 1.6.13 allows remote attackers to disclose data via email. The rcube_washtml SVG sanitizer blocks animation of href but fails to reject mask or cursor values containing external url() references. Rendering a crafted message loads those references despite remote-image blocking, exposing request-derived information or bypassing resource access controls.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
