Administrator session hijacking via Facebook attribute breakout
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in PersonView.php in ChurchCRM before 7.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions via a saved Facebook value. PersonEditor.php passes the Facebook field through sanitizeText(), which strips tags but preserves quotes, and PersonView.php inserts it into an href attribute without attribute escaping. EditRecords access is required to save the payload, and a profile viewer must trigger the injected handler; administrator viewing exposes the administrator session and accessible data.
