Code execution via pre-trust project settings
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Improper access control in jdx mise 2026.2.18 through 2026.6.3 allows attackers to execute code through a malicious project file. The configuration loader applies trusted_config_paths, yes, and ci settings from a project .mise.toml before deciding whether that same file is trusted. A victim must invoke mise in an attacker-controlled repository; trusted directives then execute in the victim's account, including _.source scripts, templates, hooks, or tasks.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
