Cross-tenant association and request crashes via unvalidated fields
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Input validation flaws in Tandoor Recipes before 2.6.4 allow remote authenticated users to crash requests or create cross-space links. The POST /api/food/{id}/shopping/ handler passes amount and unit from request data directly to ShoppingListEntry.objects.create(), bypassing decimal and tenant-scope validation. Access to the endpoint and a valid food object are required; malformed amounts trigger HTTP 500 responses, while a foreign Space unit ID creates an unauthorized cross-tenant association.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
