Code execution via absolute gzip filenames

Path injection in SecureDrop Client 0.17.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code in sd-app via a crafted gzip filename. read_gzip_header_filename() accepts an absolute gzip-header filename after check_path_traversal(), allowing replacement of the local svs.sqlite database. Exploitation requires control of the configured SecureDrop Server and a journalist to download the file; the overwrite yields code execution and access to decrypted submissions.
