CVE-2026-35381Public exploit

Unwanted record processing via omitted suppression check

Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026

Incorrect output filtering in uutils coreutils cut before 0.8.0 allows local users to pass undelimited records through automated pipelines. The -z and empty-delimiter combination enters a specialized newline-delimiter path that omits the -s suppression check and emits the full record plus NUL. Local execution with that exact option combination is required; affected pipelines process data intended for discard, without code execution or disclosure.
