CVE-2026-35337Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unfiltered TGT deserialization

Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026

Unsafe deserialization in Apache Storm Client before 2.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through crafted TGT credentials. ClientAuthUtils.deserializeKerberosTicket() decodes the TGT field and passes it to ObjectInputStream.readObject() without a class filter or type validation. Topology-submission rights are required, and a crafted object executes in both the Nimbus and Worker JVMs.
