Unauthenticated file disclosure via incomplete access validation
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Drupal File Access Fix before 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to read protected files via direct requests. When an entity is first saved, the module does not always validate the entity's access rules before deciding whether attached files need private protection. The exposure persists only until the entity is saved a second time, which causes the module to apply the expected protection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
