URL validation bypass in Oracle Macaron 0.22.0 allows remote attackers to redirect HTTP requests through a crafted provenance URL. The _download_url_file_content function trusts urllib.parse.urlparse().hostname against an allowlist even when ambiguous backslash and user-info syntax causes the HTTP client to resolve a different host. Exploitation requires a user to make Macaron analyze attacker-controlled provenance input; the resulting request can reach an unintended host, with no reported integrity or availability impact.
