Authenticated command execution via unescaped course code
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
OS command injection in Chamilo LMS before 2.0.0-RC.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through certificate export. The export_all_certificates action passes the session-derived course code to shell_exec without escapeshellarg, so shell metacharacters change the command. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to poison the _cid session value and grants the web-server process access to read files, alter data, or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
