CVE-2026-35169Network attack vector

Reflected XSS and file disclosure via help parameters

Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Reflected XSS in ACElab LORIS help_editor 15.10 through 27.0.2 and 28.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script. In help.php, testName and subtest are read from request data; Module::getHelp appended the page value to a Markdown path and returned file content or unsafely reflected error text without a JSON content type or path-containment check. A low-privileged account and victim interaction are required for script execution; the same request path reads Markdown files that resolve outside the module help directory.
