Account compromise via six-digit numeric password cap
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Weak password requirements in KTM System e-BOK before 06.2026 allow remote attackers to brute-force six-digit numeric passwords. The password-setting policy rejects alphabetic, special, and extended characters and caps accepted passwords at six numeric digits. Network access to an affected login interface permits guessing against the severely bounded password space, enabling account compromise when a password is found.
