Authenticated file deletion via unvalidated bac-scanresult path
Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026
External control of file paths in MBS Universal Gateway firmware before V6_00_07 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary local files. The bac-scanresult CGI method accepts a user-controlled file name or path without sufficient validation before performing deletion. User-level access to the network-reachable UGW web GUI is required, and deletion can disrupt device operation or destroy local data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
