Authenticated recipe modification via unchecked batch IDs
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
Broken object authorization in Tandoor Recipes before 2.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to modify private recipes in their Space. RecipeViewSet.batch_update filters attacker-supplied recipe IDs only by Space and, as a detail=False action, skips object permission checks. Any standard Space user can make another user's private recipe public, grant persistent access, alter metadata, or revoke sharing.
