Authenticated root command execution via username injection
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
OS command injection in NetComm NF20MESH firmware R6B031 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. dalStorage_addUserAccount inserts the username JSON value into a mkdir shell command and passes the unescaped string to rut_doSystemAction. Valid device credentials and network access to the management interface are required; successful exploitation grants root control of the router.
