CVE-2026-34973Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Information disclosure via unescaped LIKE wildcards

Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

LIKE wildcard injection in phpMyFAQ before 4.1.1 allows remote attackers to disclose custom-page content through public search queries. The searchCustomPages() method places database-escaped input into LIKE clauses without escaping % and _, so those metacharacters broaden matches. The public search page requires no authentication, and a three-character wildcard term can enumerate all nonempty custom pages.
