SYSTEM code execution via unvalidated service commands
Published May 21, 2026 · Updated May 21, 2026
Origin validation error in Trend Micro Apex One and SaaS agents allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The Apex One NT Listener service accepts commands without adequately validating their origin, allowing low-privileged code to issue trusted commands. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on a Windows endpoint; on-premises builds before 14.0.0.17079 and SaaS agent builds before 14.0.20731 are affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
