Authenticated API access via cross-context session reuse
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Improper authentication in Revive Adserver 6.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access administrator-only XML-RPC APIs. The v1 and v2 BaseServiceImpl::verifySession methods accepted any logged-in OA_Auth session without distinguishing UI sessions from API sessions. A low-privileged web-console account and its session ID are required; successful reuse exposes administrator-only API data but does not directly alter data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
