Unauthenticated file read via encoded path traversal
Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026
Path traversal in Ubiquiti UniFi OS before product-specific fixes allows remote attackers to read underlying system files. The shared Nginx layer derives a service target from the raw request URI but later normalizes encoded traversal segments, allowing crafted asset paths to escape the intended tree. Network access to the management interface is sufficient, and exposed files can be used to reach an underlying account.
