Authenticated SQL injection via shortcode fields parameter
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
SQL injection in David Lingren Media Library Assistant 3.34 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a shortcode. The mla_custom_list shortcode incorporates its fields parameter into a database SELECT expression without neutralizing attacker-controlled SQL syntax. Contributor-level access and permission to create a post containing the crafted shortcode are required; successful exploitation exposes database contents.
