Subscriber data disclosure via nonce-only AJAX authorization
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Missing authorization in VeronaLabs WP Statistics 14.16.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read analytics data and alter privacy state. Four AJAX handlers accept the broadly available wp_rest nonce but omit capability checks through current_user_can() or User::Access(). Subscriber-level access is sufficient to read user and visitor details, change privacy-audit status, and dismiss administrative notices.
