Authenticated cross-user script execution via stored remark
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Stored XSS in /cgi-bin/salearn.cgi in Endian Firewall 3.3.25 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in other users' browsers. The CGI handler stores the unneutralized remark user ham spam parameter and later renders it into the affected page, causing browsers to interpret the value as script. An authenticated account can plant the payload; execution requires another user to view the page, exposing that user's browser session to script-driven data access or actions.
