Authenticated command execution via DATE file path
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
OS command injection in Endian Community Firewall 3.3.25 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The DATE value for /cgi-bin/logs_smtp.cgi is appended to a file path and passed to Perl open() after an incomplete regular-expression check, permitting command metacharacters to change the operation. Access to the authenticated web interface is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the firewall process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
