CVE-2026-34790Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via backup path traversal

Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Path traversal in Endian Community Firewall 3.3.25 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files through backup.cgi. The remove ARCHIVE value is concatenated into a backup file path without neutralizing traversal sequences and is passed to unlink(). Administrative web access is required; successful exploitation can remove files outside the backup directory and interrupt firewall operation.
