Admin-level code execution via path traversal
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
Local file inclusion in emlog 2.6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through admin/plugin.php. When action is empty, admin/plugin.php applies only addslashes and trim to the GET plugin value, then interpolates it into a require_once path before token validation, leaving ../ traversal unrestricted. Administrative access is required; code execution additionally requires the crafted path to resolve to an attacker-controlled PHP file.
