Unauthenticated service abuse via unprotected notification routes
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Missing authentication in OneUptime before 10.0.42 allows remote attackers to abuse notification services and manage phone numbers. Notification test and Phone Number API routes omit user-authentication middleware yet remain public through the /notification nginx route. No account or user interaction is required; configured Twilio, SMTP, and WhatsApp credentials can be used to send messages, place calls, purchase or release numbers, and expose stored service credentials.
