CVE-2026-34751Network attack vector

Account takeover via poisoned password-reset links

Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026

Password-reset poisoning in Payload before 3.79.1 allows remote attackers to take over accounts through the built-in forgot-password flow. The REST handler and GraphQL resolver accepted client-controlled reset options, while generated reset links used an unvalidated Host header when serverURL was unset. Exposure requires an auth-enabled collection using built-in forgot-password; a poisoned link can disclose the reset token and grant the victim's account privileges.
