Administrator file read via unchecked template path
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Path traversal in Roxnor EmailKit 1.6.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read server files. The TemplateData action() method passes the emailkit-editor-template REST parameter directly to file_get_contents() without path validation or an allowed-directory check. Administrator access is required; retrieved content is stored as post metadata and exposed through the fetch-data REST endpoint, limiting direct impact to file disclosure.
